We were all so excited to get back to school for the new year.
We have been busy learning about different celebrations around the world and having fun with our winter art.
Class 11 have been busy checking materials to see if they are waterproof or magnetic - it has been great fun.
The big news of November has to be how well our boys did in Banbridge Festival - saying their poems and singing so well in the choir - we are all so very proud of them!!

Class 11 have enjoyed a very busy month.
We have enjoyed lots of sensory activities in class with Tac Pac and foot spas being favourites.
Our boys have shown that they are very musical, taking part in the choir, music therapy and music sessions in class.
We have been busy with lots of art activities for Autumn and Halloween
We have had a very busy September in Class 11. Everyone is enjoying discovering our new classroom. We have all been getting to know each other. In Class 11 we have been concentrating on ‘Ourselves’ and doing lots of nice activities together.
Class 11 have enjoyed their last month of term by visiting the Armagh Planetarium. Pupils enjoyed making rockets and shooting them off as well as a lovely space show in the dome. Pupils also participated in the ‘Toilet Twinning’ sponsored walk. It was such a lovely day and thank you for all the sponsor money, we will inform you of the total soon. Big congratulations to all pupils for receiving a certificate during prize-giving and to those pupils who received a special award. It has been an enjoyable year in class 11 and we hope you all have a fun filled summer!
May was such a busy month for class 11. We enjoyed litter picking for the Eco Clubs and lifted over 5 bags in our bid to ‘Love Here, Love Here’. We also attempted to start a weekly mile where we walked around Solitude Park and used the healthy equipment. Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been too good for us to do each week! We have been exploring ’Space’ and making lots of art activities and continuing shape in Maths and Literacy.

Class 11 have enjoyed a fun filled month with lots of different activities celebrated with senior school. We have enjoyed ‘Green Day’ and ‘World Book Day’, dressing up and having a shared break with our friends from senior school. Class 11 and 9 have been fortunate to team together and participate in the dance classes with Kelly McAleese! They will be performing their moves during our ‘Celebrations’ day at the end of March. We have also been enjoying golf classes on a Thursday and making a variety of crafts in art. We have been leaning about measures in maths and creating T.V. ads in literacy.
Class 11 have been busy learning about different ‘Celebrations’ in topic work. We had the opportunity to learn about Chinese New Year, completing a variety of interactive and written tasks. Our favourite part was tasting some Chinese food! Class 11 have been creating invitations during literacy and we recently posted our invites home to see how long it would take to be delivered. Everyone enjoyed purchasing a stamp to place on the envelope to post home but most importantly everyone had £1 to spend on a treat in store. Class 11 have been investigating imported foods, we also purchased Fairtrade bananas to make banana splits, they went done a treat!
A great start to the new year for Class 11! We have been enjoying our drumming work sessions on a Wednesday with Joe. Class 11 and 9 enjoyed a Titanic Tea Party so keep an eye out on our webpage for our special PowerPoint to include all of our activities. Our focus this term is on ‘Celebrations’ and we will be creating lots of art pieces as well as developing dance skills from different cultures during P.E. All pupils have been working so well and it has been a successful start to 2019!
Welcome back to all pupils in class 11, old and new! We have had such a busy first month back and it’s lovely to see everyone is ready to get back to work.
This month we have been getting to know each other by completing ‘All About Me’ books, we have also been making clay faces, measuring our heights and shoe sizes as well as finding out our likes and dislikes.
Class 11 have enjoyed playing games during P.E. and our new sensory area in class has been a real hit! All pupils can access this area at certain times during the week!
